Collaboration With Iris Alcoves

Where do I even begin. The first time I met Tara, who is the owner of Iris Alcoves, happened to be 2 years ago when I did a giveaway for Eleventh Hour and she was the winner. I had never really heard much about permanent jewelry before and fast forward a few months, I took one of my friends Haley with me to get some jewelry for our birthdays.

This is back when her permanent jewelry business was formally named Forever Linked and Tara was in a small space renting a room in a building. Today, she has grown into having her full studio which is now renamed to Iris Alcoves. The story of our friendship is one that I love to tell over and over again, so without making you guys wait, let’s get into it!

My second year in business I was coming off of the market scene and wanting to do more with my business. Bring in wholesale will ya, because that sounds cool right? I had no idea what I was doing in trying to break into wholesale, but Tara had other plans for me. She was my first small order that finally got my candles onto a shelf in front of other people. She always gave me hope and encouragement in trying new things and learning how to pivot with my business in general.

Being able now to make these custom candles for her is such a full circle moment for me. Not only have my friends and family gone to see her for permanent jewelry, but we also get to do markets and events together. I never knew that day with her winning my giveaway that she would not only become a mentor to me, but a life long friend as well.

What truly makes Tara so incredible, is that she’s not only a wife, but a mother to the sweetest 2 little girls ever. She’s always doing events, working in the studio, finding new and exciting ways to grow her business, while still managing the juggle of family life. Tara started with 15 years in the dentist industry and grew Iris Alcoves into what it is today. Proof just like me with nursing, you can pivot anytime in life and create a business that’s meaningful and leaves you feeling fullfilled.

So Tara, my extra mother, the biggest thanks and expression of gratitude from me to you for trusting us to make these candles for your studio!
